Jordan Marchand, Intern
My passion is to walk alongside others as they navigate through life’s challenges and
discover their strengths and themselves, as well as work towards a meaningful change. I believe
that clients themselves are the experts of their life story, and I am here to help them through the
process.
I am currently studying clinical mental health counseling at the University of West
Alabama, where I have continued to build onto my knowledge regarding therapeutic approaches,
developmental theories, and most importantly, the importance of the therapeutic alliance.
Previously, I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with my Bachelor of Science
in Psychology.
Along with my graduate studies, I have received training in play therapy and have
grasped the importance of the intervention’s effectiveness. I am excited to gain more experience
through facilitating play therapy sessions, as well as treating clients who have experienced
trauma, grief, life transitions, and more. Ultimately, the counseling process is a team effort where
your voice leads the way at your pace. Together, we will work to set goals and uncover insights
that already exist within you.
