Ellie Sherfey M.A.,
CCC-SLP
Ellie is a Speech-Language Pathologist originally from Maryland. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, as well as minors in Disability and Education Studies, from Syracuse University; later, she completed her Master’s degree and graduate certificate in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) from the University of Memphis. She completed her clinical fellowship at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in both inpatient/acute care and inpatient-rehab. Ellie has a passion for providing strengths-based, child-led, and neurodiversity-affirming intervention with special interests in Gestalt Language Processing, AAC, brain-injury recovery, and feeding progression for medically complex kiddos. Ellie’s favorite parts of being an SLP are connecting with families from all walks of life, facilitating confident communication, and seeing functional progress for meaningful participation across natural settings. Personally, Ellie enjoys being outside, exploring local coffee shops, reading, spending time with her family and friends, loving on her fur babies (Milly and Salem), and trying new plant-based recipes.
