P-LPC, NCC
Madalyn Messick is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (P-LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from the University of Mississippi. Maddie has experience working with children, college students, and adults.
Maddie’s approach to counseling is primarily person-centered, viewing counseling as a collaborative process, building a safe therapeutic relationship and environment where the client feels seen, heard, understood, and valued as they are. She feels privileged to walk alongside her clients on their counseling journey, helping them realize their inner strengths and capabilities towards change, to cope with their experiences, and reach their goals. She has also utilized cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) when working with clients who experience anxiety.
Maddie is Telehealth certified in working with children and adults and has received training in Youth Mental Health First Aid. She has a passion for working with children and is currently pursuing her Education Specialist degree in Play Therapy at the University of Mississippi.
